Tucked beneath an unassuming stairwell at The Loom, the exposed brick, century-old redwood beams, thoughtful and cozy decor combined with intimate production spaces create an environment designed to make artists feel comfortable enough to practice and experiment.

The Secret’s Out
Brickyard Studios didn't begin with a business in mind.
It began as an abandoned storage room. Hidden beneath the stairwells of The Loom, the space sat largely untouched for years until longtime facilities manager Zak saw something special in it. He slowly cleared the room, fixed it up by hand and transformed it into a place where artists could gather, rehearse and create.
Then word got around. Artists and touring musicians began finding their way downstairs between rehearsals, performances and sessions throughout the Bay Area.
Brickyard Studios became the kind of place you weren't supposed to know about, one of Oakland’s best kept secrets.
Now we're opening the door a little wider.

The heart of Brickyard.
A large, character-filled rehearsal and production room designed for bands, touring artists, content shoots and creative sessions that need more than four blank walls.
This room includes a projector, tv screen for lyrics, ambient lighting, a grand piano, drum set, onsite sound engineer and hospitality service.

Our budget friendly rehearsal room for bands, musicians and artists who simply need somewhere to plug in and jam.
Ideal for regular rehearsals, pre-production practice and smaller sessions. Includes a drum set.

Every corner of this space makes an ideal backdrop for a conversation, interview, or content shoot. With a desk that seats up to eight, it’s also a great place to bring your creative team together, or a comfortable spot for an onsite meeting with customers or clients.
